Quick and Easy . . .
I became fascinated with half square triangles. So I began searching the Internet for quick and easy ways to make them. Using Jenny Doan’s method you can make four at a time. I also came across other methods where you can make more than four at a time. During my search I came across a blog that had a tutorial for making a Hunter’s Star using HSTs. This was a quick and easy way to make HSTs. I have to try this. I’ve added the link for the tutorial. I will also post my pictures when I make my first Hunter’s Star block.

NJMQG – Michael Miller Fabric Challenge
My guild is participating in the MQG Fabric Challenge using Michael Miller’s new fabric line Petal Pinwheels. You can create anything you want as long as it is quilted. You can add any solid or printed fabric but it has to be from Michael Miller’s fabric line. I can’t wait to begin this challenge! Click on the like below to see his new collection.

Interesting Info . . .
I love learning new things. I’ve been sewing and crafting for a long time now. I’ve been quilting on and off for about ten years now. I took my first class in 2003. My teacher was great! She taught hand quilting and I really loved it. As we progressed we used our sewing machines too. I made my first sampler and gave it to my mom. I wish I had taken a picture of it because she doesn’t have it anymore. I’m a lifelong learner and I enjoy passing on what I’ve learned. Quilty Pleasures (Quiltmakers Blog) has useful information. I’ve attached the links below. Hope this information can be useful for beginner quilters.
