Forty-eight weeks to go . . . “What will tickle my fancy this week?”
Another busy week, so I decided to make a quick key lanyard. I used the video tutorial below. I selected this video because I liked how she finished her lanyard; it’s flat and not twisted around your neck. I posted a picture of my lanyard. I used different hardware.
Forty-nine weeks to go . . . What will I create this week?
Once again I’m down to the wire, but I completed this weeks project (Sunday, Jan. 29th). I made the 1 Hour Basket by Hearts and Bees. The tutorial is free at Craftsy.com. As usual, I changed the pattern’s size. Instead of making the 10.5″ x 16.5″ basket, I increased the height and length to 19″ x 21″. I also added a stiffer fusible interfacing.
Tomorrow begins week three for me. So far, I’ve completed two projects. Fifty more weeks to go . . . I really cut it close this week. Just completed my third project yesterday; January 20th. I made a phone pouch. If you are interested in making a phone pouch click on the links below for the pattern and tutorial. Just in-case you’re wondering why my pouch looks different, I made a few changes to the pattern.
I’ve been an empty vessel. I couldn’t think of anything to share with anyone. Everything has been done and it didn’t make any sense in being redundant. I lost my charge! My battery was drained! But I’m back with New Beginnings . . .
I don’t make new year resolutions, but I’ve decided to challenge myself this year and see how far I can get and create something once a week. It won’t matter which day of the week I make it, what matters is that it’s created before the week is out (this doesn’t include any and all WIPs or UFOs) So, last week; which was the first week of January, I used the Gourmet Quilter’s zippered pouches using 10″ squares video, so I made the quilted pouch featured below using her technique. If you are interested in making this pouch click on the video below. You can also purchase the Gourmet Quilter’s pattern by clicking on the zippered pouch photo.
Zippered Pouch (fabric by DearStella)
This week, I’ve decided to make another quilted 10″ pouch with zipper tabs. I’m going to use Jenny Doan’s technique for adding zipper tabs. View video for tutorial.
Completed week two’s pouch with zipper tab. I watched Jenny’s video and used her technique for the zipper tabs. I made a different pouch.
