Thirty-six weeks to go . . . I haven’t got a clue! Not sure what I’ll create this week.
Another busy week, spending time with family and friends. We celebrated my mom’s 80th birthday on Saturday, April 29th. So, I didn’t have time to think about making anything, until today. Since my guild NJMQG ( North Jersey Modern Quilt Guild) will be making the Open Wide Zippered Pouch: DIY Tutorial by Anna Graham. I decided to have a dry-run and make a sample first. I didn’t make it in time! I’m sixteen minutes late, but I did finish my project for week 16. I made another One Hour Basket; mine took much longer because I made a scrappy quilt as you go exterior (front and back). You will love this quick and easy project. 1 Hour Basket Tutorial
Thirty-eight weeks to go . . . I’m thinking about making a wall organizer for some of my sewing tools.
I have so much stuff; buttons, zippers, grommets, velcro, you name it. At least, I thought I had it. I completed the sewing part of the craft room hanging organizer, and the last step was to add grommets for hanging. Oh well!, guess what happened? I couldn’t find the grommets for my organizer. I know I have some, but where is the question. That’s what happens when your sewing room is unorganized. So, I’m posting my finished craft room hanging organizer without the grommets. I will re-post when I add them. I really enjoyed making this hanging organizer. It was quick and easy; just remember to have all your materials before you start. Thirty-nine weeks to go . . . ummmmm, what will I create this week?
As usual, this was another fully booked week. I didn’t get a chance to create anything new, so I decided to make two more pillowcases and some pocket tissue holders that you can attach to your key ring or backpack. I box my corners. It gives it a different look. I couldn’t find the tutorial that I used years ago; that showed you how to make several tissue holders at one time. Anyway, I posted pictures and will add the tutorial at a later date. You can always Goggle it if you really need to try it now. Hope next week will be better.
