Twenty-eight weeks to go . . . There’s nothing new under the sun, just your interpretation.
Thirty-five weeks to go . . . Today was a great day to be creative. So, I decided to make a Mini Sew Together Bag; pattern by Michelle of SewDemented, and the conversion worksheet for the mini was created by Elizabeth E. of OPQuilt.com. The original Sew Together Bag pattern is needed for the conversion. I also used the Sew Along tutorial that I found on The Quilt Barn‘s blog.
Wow! I can’t believe it! I finished it! This is a first for me, since I began my New Beginnings Challenge. I’m usually rushing to create something on Sunday; just to meet my deadline. WooHoo!
Thirty-seven weeks to go . . . Where will my creativity and the Internet take me this week?!
I didn’t make it in time! I’m sixteen minutes late, but I did finish my project for week 16. I made another One Hour Basket; mine took much longer because I made a scrappy quilt as you go exterior (front and back). You will love this quick and easy project. 1 Hour Basket Tutorial
Thirty-nine weeks to go . . . ummmmm, what will I create this week?
As usual, this was another fully booked week. I didn’t get a chance to create anything new, so I decided to make two more pillowcases and some pocket tissue holders that you can attach to your key ring or backpack. I box my corners. It gives it a different look. I couldn’t find the tutorial that I used years ago; that showed you how to make several tissue holders at one time. Anyway, I posted pictures and will add the tutorial at a later date. You can always Goggle it if you really need to try it now. Hope next week will be better.
Forty more weeks to go . . . Maybe I’ll get to those pillowcases this week.
Completed my pillowcase; thinking about making two more. I checked out several tutorials, and the measurements were slightly different. For instance Crafty Gemini’s measurements were; 24″, 12″, and 2″, and Jenny Doan’s (Missouri Star Quilt Co.) measurements were: 27″, 9″, and 2″. However, I noticed that the top and bottom add up to 36″ before sewing. I’ve attached the PDF pillowcasepattern tutorial by Lindsay Conner that I used, and of course pictures of my pillowcase. Click on the pillowcasepattern link above.
Forty-one weeks to go . . . maybe, pillowcases, I’m not sure!
Oh Well! I didn’t make pillowcases, but I did make a DIY Neck Wallet by Shabby Fabrics, Jennifer Bosworth is the instructor. I think you will like making this too. I’ve added the video tutorial and link for the free pattern. As always, I’ve posted pictures of what I mad, and I added a decorative stitch to my neck wallet. Have fun!

Forty-two weeks to go . . . hmmmm . . . create, create, create
It was another rough week, but I’m determined to complete my 52 week challenge. So, I made a catch all fabric basket. I used the Crafty Gemini’s video tutorial. I sewed the corners up of my basket. It gives it a different look.
Forty-three weeks to go . . . Let’s see what creations come to mind this week!
Once again, I took the quick way out; by finding a quick project to complete. I made a keychain chapstick holder. This was a five minute project. I found the instructions on Crazy Little Projects website.
Forty-five more weeks to go . . . Working on something for the kitchen.
Of course, today is Sunday, Feb. 26th and I’m just making my weekly project. I created a quick and easy hot pad. As usual, I added a few of my own touches. I’ve posted pictures and the video I used below. Hope you give it a try.
