Nine weeks to go . . . Wow! I can’t believe it! The weeks have gone by sooooo fast. What will I create this week? I decided to make me a pair of slippers. I found a free pattern on Pretty Prudent’s website. This was my first time using Minky fabric, so messy, but I’m pleased with the end results.

Twelve weeks to go . . . I went off the beaten path for this week’s project. My church had a Paint and Praise Fundraiser for Hurricane Harvey victims. It was a most enjoyable and calming event with food, fellowship, and fundraising. So, this week I painted. I call my painting My Lady In Red. I know this may not count, but I painted every brush stroke you see. If you ever get a chase to attend a Paint and Sip or Paint and Praise event, Do It!
New Beginnings . . . Week 40
Thirteen weeks to go . . . This week’s project was a joint venture; worked on screen printing t-shirts with my oldest grandson for the Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 15th.
I learned how to screen print at the Newark Print Shop. They have a weekly print club (Wednesdays from 6:00 – 10:00 pm); you pay $10.00 and they teach you the process of screen printing. So, I’m passing on what I’ve learned to my oldest grandson.
Posted pictures of my grandson’s first screen prints.

Fourteen weeks to go . . . I took a bag making workshop with Michelle Reiter @njmqg (North Jersey Modern Quilt Guild); excellent instructor. So, I finally completed my Noodlehead Market Bag. I’m not too happy with my design choice for the binding and handles; too eager to finish, but I plan on making another one. The pattern is by Anna Graham. Click here for website.

Fifteen weeks to go . . . My project this week doesn’t require fabric. I made a door organizer for my sewing room. I used Dollar Tree items. This is a Dollar Tree DIY-Door Organizer tutorial I found on Facebook by Crafting It Up and Creations Janet; she got this idea from Lifeat50&Beyond. I’ve posted my pics and also links to their videos.

Sixteen weeks to go . . . I got a jump on things and made this weeks project early.
I made an insulated lunch bag for one of my daughters. It’s a DIY that I found on the
JO-ANN Stores’ app; Click here for instructions and video tutorial by Jessica Abbott for
JO-ANN Stores. I posted pics of the bag before and after handles were added. Enjoy!

Seventeen weeks to go . . . I got a jump on things and completed my project early. I was looking for a zippered ID wristlet, and found this website http://www.thimbleanna.com/a-purse-thingy/. I decided to make a muslin purse sample first. Then I increased the pattern size; second sample. I’m pleased with the final outcome.

Eighteen weeks to go . . . Where will creativity take me this time?
I decided to make a pair of baby crib shoes, pattern by Cheri Paxton. I purchased the $6.00 pattern from Living DIY Style. I’ve posted my first pair of baby crib shoes; up-cycled a pair of used pajama pants. I also found a how to video on YouTube with step by step instructions.
